TRAINING RETREAT

WORKSHOP TITLE: "Marital Secrets: Enhancing Romantic Christian Marriages"

With permission of the Church Leaders, the trainers will make available at a discount their recent book release by RP Publishing Company entitled "Marital Secrets: Dating, Lies, Communications and Sex" and "Single Wisdom"

WORKSHOP PURPOSE AND THEME:

This Christian Marriage Workshop will focus on biblical centered factors, behaviors, thoughts and feelings that are necessary to enable marriages to function successfully from a Christian perspective.  We will provide participants with empirical information on factors that contribute to the stability of loving, romantic, God centered relationships.  The problems and success of marriage counseling will be discussed.  There will be behavioral modeling conducted by marital therapists who are married to each other.  One of the therapist is also a Divorce Attorney who will share her experiences and the lessons learned from her clients.  Also participants will be given opportunities to demonstrate the new behaviors they learn.

GOALS/LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

  • To learn factors that contribute to the stability of romance and healthy relationships for married Christian men and women.

  • To learn how to enhance the sex, romance and intimacy in a Christian marriage.

  • To learn how the signs and symptoms of Premenstrual Syndrome and Menopause have a direct impact on marriage.

  • To learn what it means to submit to your husband and for the husband to treat the wife as he would the church.

  • To learn how past experiences directly relate to present marital happiness, problems and stability.

  • To learn how to effectively listen and communicate with one's spouse.

  • To learn how to forgive and reconcile in accordance with the word of God.

  • To learn how to prioritize and handle marital debts.

  • To learn about the 150 things each person should have known about their intended spouse before they were married, and now must accept without complaints.

REQUIRED EQUIPMENT TO BE PROVIDED BY THE SPONSORING CORPORATION, MINISTRY AND CHURCH:

  • Long presentation table in the front of the room.

  • Small display table in the front of the room.

  • TV/VCR

  • Flipchart with markers.

  • Lectern (optional)

  • Microphone (optional)

  • Overhead projector for transparencies and screen (optional)

Payment arrangements are that 1/2 of the total cost is due 45 days prior to the scheduled training date.  The balance is due on the day of training at the end of the session.
